Anna is a poet and filmmaker from Atlanta, Georgia with an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. Anna’s first book of poems, Long Exposure, was published in fall 2023 with Moon City Press. Her poems have recently appeared in Best American Poetry, The Adroit Journal, Notre Dame Review, and placed 3rd in Narrative’s 14th Annual Poetry Contest. Her writing and films deal with themes of familial grief and motherhood. Anna is an Associate Professor in Screenwriting Arts at the University of Iowa. A Yaddo and MacDowell Fellow, she is at work on her second volume of poetry.
