Anna is a Pushcart-nominated poet and filmmaker from Atlanta, Georgia with an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. Anna’s first book of poems, Long Exposure, was published in the fall with Moon City Press. Her poems have recently appeared in Best American Poetry 2022, The Adroit Journal, EX/POST, and Brink and placed 3rd in Narrative’s 14th Annual Poetry Contest. Her writing and films deal with themes of familial grief and early motherhood. Anna is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Screenwriting Arts at the University of Iowa and co-edits Two Peach with Catherine Pond.  A Yaddo and MacDowell Fellow, she is at work on her second volume of poetry.
